Permanent Seminar: Language Relations Italy-Iberian Peninsula
SEMINAR PRESENTATION
LINGUISTIC AND LITERARY RELATIONS BETWEEN ITALY AND THE IBERIAN PENINSULA IN MODERN AGE
The Seminar is a moment of reflection and comparative linguistic-literary study between the Iberian and Italian cultural areas of modern times. In particular, the intention is to carry out research on Iberian culture, a project that begun some time ago in our Department, taking an innovative comparative approach within the Iberian world, in a period that has distinguished itself by phenomena of bilingualism and cultural convergences/synergies between the Spanish and Portuguese areas, which have had important effects in the Italian cultural area of the time.
The Seminar will include the participation of already established teachers in this field, together with young researchers focusing in this area, with the aim of involving students of the Master’s and PhD programs. The first objective was to inaugurate the seminar in 2014 and to repeat it every year, with the publication of the proceedings in a dedicated series.
